From hip-hop to classic rock at Tweeter: The Anger Management Tour 3 with Eminem, 50 Cent, D12, G-Unit, Obie Trice, and others at the Tweeter Center Aug. 10 is sold out. But look for 50 Cent to play another hip-hop show at the Mansfield venue, without Eminem. 50 will headline with Ludacris; date and ticket details to be announced. As for classic rock, standout Tweeter shows are Santana (June 17), Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers with the Black Crowes (June 18 is sold out, but July 29 was added), and Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden headlining Ozzfest (July 15). From Destiny to Diamond: The FleetCenter is often overshadowed by outdoor events in the summer, but this season offers a couple of major draws. R&B stars Destiny's Child performs Aug. 6, along with Mario, Tyra, and Amerie (expect tickets to go on sale in mid-June). And Neil Diamond, who always prefers to play indoors, marches back for two nights, Aug. 15 and 16. September already looks strong with Elton John and Paul McCartney. Branching out at the Pavilion: The 5,000-seat Bank of America Pavilion not only has a new name but a new agent in Dave Marsden of Tea Party Concerts, who also books the Tweeter Center. ''We're trying to do a much wider range of things," he says. Examples include the Odd Men Out Tour with Rufus Wainwright and Ben Folds on Aug. 5 (look for Ben Lee to be added to that bill), and the Gigantour with Megadeth, Dream Theater, and Fear Factory, expected Aug. 26. There's already a heavier smattering of rock (Robert Plant visits June 17), with new adds Howie Day July 24 (on sale June 11), John Hiatt and Shawn Colvin Aug. 30 (on sale June 11), and alt-rock stars Franz Ferdinand in September (to be announced). Sugar Water Festival: First, this tour was marketed as the Soul Divas, then the Women of Soul, then the Girlfriends. Now it's the Sugar Water Festival. Regardless, it's an artistic coup with Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Queen Latifah. This should be a special night. It's at Bank of America Pavilion on July 13. The Stones keep rolling: The ticket of the summer is the Rolling Stones at Fenway Park Aug. 21 and 23 (both shows are sold out and scalpers are salivating). But also playing the area is a juggernaut of veteran acts from the Moody Blues (Bank of America Pavilion July 12) to Earth, Wind & Fire (July 16) and the Steve Miller Band (Aug. 26), both at the Tweeter Center. Outside of Boston: The South Shore Music Circus soars with Michael McDonald (July 7), Buddy Guy (July 8), Susan Tedeschi (Aug. 6), and LeAnn Rimes (Aug. 14). The North Shore Theater has Ruben Studdard (Aug. 5) and George Carlin (Aug. 28), while the Cape Cod Melody Tent has Ani DiFranco (July 29) and George Thorogood & the Destroyers (Aug. 5), among others.
