Puttin' metal to Bee Gees

Email|Print| Text size +
January 18, 2008

What would the Bee Gees have sounded like if the trio had been fronted by Axl Rose? You can find out tonight when Tragedy, a metal tribute to the Bee Gees from New York, plays a gig at the Middle East Downstairs. Tragedy's version of "Jive Talkin' " is as hard-driving as "Welcome to the Jungle." Its rendition of "You Should Be Dancing" is as singable as "Sweet Child O' Mine." Joining Tragedy will be Appetite for Destruction, a Guns N' Roses tribute act that sticks to songs by Guns N' Roses. 8 p.m. $15. Middle East Downstairs, 480 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge. 617-864-3278. mideastclub.com
