NIGHTLIFE

Back where he belongs

Email|Print| Text size + By Meredith Goldstein
Globe Staff / January 19, 2008

David Dancer, who used to run an over-the-top new wave and punk dance night at Great Scott called Hot Lunch, is now spinning tunes at Movement, a new Saturday night dance party at the Alchemist in Jamaica Plain. He has an affinity for over-the-top artists such as Freezepop, the Cure (Robert Smith, left), Thomas Dolby, Pet Shop Boys, Belly, Matthew Sweet, and - this one might surprise you - Kelly Clarkson. Not even Mr. Dancer can resist Miss Independent. 10 p.m. Free. Alchemist, 435 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain. 617-477-5741. alchemistlounge.com
