Love in Stockholm

Email|Print| Text size +
January 29, 2008

You don't hear enough young rock bands that feature the saxophone these days. And while there are probably a lot of good reasons for that, we'll chalk it up to musical fearlessness (yeah, that works) that Boston's Love in Stockholm has rescued that most maligned member of the woodwind family from the unfashionable dustbin of instrument history. The band, which stomps out a more than passable James Brown on songs like "Too Much Love" throw down a rock, jazz, and funk fusion party tonight. 18+ 9 p.m. $7. Great Scott, 1222 Commonwealth Ave., Allston. 617-566-9014. greatscottbos ton.com
