Critics' picks - pop music
Destroyer
At the Middle East Downstairs, tomorrow. Dan Bejar, the New Pornographers' secret weapon of a singer and songwriter, brings his shambolic pop solo project to town in support of this year's "Trouble in Dreams." Colossal Yes and Mean Creek open the show, which starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance - at ticketmaster.com, 617-931-2000 - and $14 at the door.
American Music Club
At Harpers Ferry, Tuesday. The longtime vehicle for songwriter Mark Eitzel's idiosyncratic American music odyssey, AMC keeps disbanding and reuniting; this year's model is touring behind "The Golden Age." Barn Burning and Ad Frank & the Fast Easy Women open. Doors are at 8 p.m.; tickets are $20 at 800-594-8499 or harpersferryboston.com.
