It will be nice to see former Bostonian Ellis Paul (above) at this year's Radio 92.9 EarthFest. But don't look for the folk singer and songwriter on the grown-up stages. Paul is playing an 11 a.m. show at Kids' Planet, an interactive family area that will also host young performers such as Michael & Marisa. Entertainment on the other two stages features the Help, Cake, Cracker, the BoDeans, the English Beat, the Adam Ezra Band, and others. And don't forget, no celebration of the earth is complete without nonprofit organizations and those environmentally friendly products to help you green it up. Family activities start at 10 a.m., other music at 11 a.m., festivities end at 6 p.m.; rain or shine. Free. Hatch Shell, Esplanade, Boston. 617-822-6721. earthfest.com [June Wulff]
