The Amazing Things Art Center in Framingham, which is opening a play about Dorothy Parker on Sunday afternoon, warms up tonight with another woman who speaks her mind, the Serbian-born blues singer Ana Popovic. Popovic recently told Blues Matters! magazine that too many modern blues artists try to sound just like Stevie Ray or Jimmie Vaughan. So don't expect what you hear in Framingham tonight to sound anything like what you'd be hearing from Vaughan in Lowell. 8 p.m. $22. Amazing Things Art Center, 160 Hollis St., Framingham. 508-405-2787. amazingthings.org
