Jana Hunter - at T.T. the Bear's, Tuesday night. The eclectic Texas singer-songwriter, a disciple of the Devendra Banhart/Vetiver school of left-field folk, brings woozy musings and fringe meditations from her two albums to T.T.'s, with opener Lesser Gonzalez Alvarez. "Still Black, Still Proud: An African Tribute to James Brown" - at the MFA's Calderwood Courtyard, Wednesday. Longtime James Brown sidemen Pee Wee Ellis and Fred Wesley have put together a pan-continental supergroup - including JB Horns alumni and special guests Cheikh Lo and Vieux Farka Touré - to pay tribute to the Godfather of Soul.
