Boston Landmarks Orchestra

This year marks the centenary of Leroy Anderson, composer of "The Syncopated Clock" and other Fiedler-era Pops favorites. Charles Ansbacher and his Landmarks Orchestra pay tribute to Anderson on Wednesday's free outdoor program, alongside music by Morton Gould and Victor Herbert. At 7 p.m., Hatch Shell at the Esplanade, 617-520-2200 or www.landmarksorchestra.org.

Gardner Chamber Orchestra

Among the major local concert presenters, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is the first out of the block in the new fall season. On Sunday Sept. 7, flutist Paula Robison leads the chamber orchestra in works by Vivaldi, Scarlatti, and Torelli. At 1:30 p.m., 617-278-5156 or www.gardnermuseum.org.
