We've heard of the Singing Detective and the Singing Trooper, but did you know there was a Singing Auctioneer? Roy C. Burdick, "the fanciest auctioneer in the Bay State," at least according to the press release, will demonstrate how he sings the bidding process at tonight's "Keepers of Tradition in Performance." Burdick shares this cross-cultural concert with Lowell's Angkor Dance Troupe, Franco-American fiddler Donna Hebert, Celtic step dancer Christine Morrison, and Scottish Highland bagpiper Nancy Crutcher Tunnicliffe, among others. The performance is in conjunction with the exhibit "Keepers of Tradition: Art and Folk Heritage in Massachusetts." 8 p.m. $20. National Heritage Museum, 33 Marrett Road, Lexington. 781-457-4101. www.nationalheritagemuseum.org [J.W.]
