Tonight's Women in Rock show at the Berklee Performance Center is the culmination of three days of workshops and classes with some of the most talented writers and performers in rock, all of whom happen to be African-American women. Singer Nona Hendryx, formerly of LaBelle; singer and songwriter Siedah Garrett, who has written for Aretha Franklin and Barry White; singer Joyce Kennedy from the funk-rock group Mother's Finest; former Lenny Kravitz drummer Cindy Blackman (right); and bassist/singer/songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello will all perform, backed by some of Berklee's best. The show will also be filmed for a documentary. 8:15 p.m. $10. Berklee Performance Center, 136 Massachusetts Ave., Boston. 617-747-2261. www.berkleebpc.com
