Members of the alt-sax group One Time Trio say that because their gig tonight coincides with the third presidential debate, they'll try to play real time audio of McCain and Obama throughout their performance. That means you may hear phrases like "steady hand at the tiller" with a sax soundtrack. The group, which features Boston's Ken Field, Brooklyn's Jessica Lurie, and Seattle's Amy Denio, promises that besides politics and saxophone, you'll also hear some clarinet, accordion, and vocals. 8:30 p.m. $10. Johnny D's, 17 Holland St., Somerville. 617-776-2004. www.johnnyds.com
