Oct. 17-19
James Devine's dancing feet can reputedly tap an extraordinary 38 beats a second. But you'll probably find verifying that virtuosity less compelling than checking out his creativity in melding Irish step dance with the urban rhythms of contemporary tap. He'll be joined by multi-instrumentalist/composer Duncan Wickel and percussionist Paul Jennings. Fri 7:30 p.m. Sat 8 p.m., Sun 3 p.m. $35. Institute of Contemporary Art, 100 Northern Ave., Boston. 617- 876-4275. www.worldmusic.org
