On his new album, "Mr. Love & Justice," Billy Bragg does what he does best - perform songs about social justice and frailities in the romance department. The British pop rocker ranges from cynical - such as the lyric "I'm not responsible for the lessons children learn" in "The Johnny Carcinogenic Show" - to sweet - the response to the title of the song "If You Ever Leave" is "there's nothing for me here." The Blokes are featured on the record but won't be with Bragg in Somerville; the country-singing Watson Twins open both shows. Tonight and tomorrow at 8 p.m. $36. Somerville Theatre, 55 Davis Square, Somerville. 617-931-2000. www.ticketmaster.com
