Like Bruce Springsteen, Nicole Atkins's rock is inspired by life on New Jersey's coastline. Unlike Springsteen, Atkins's music may remind you of Patsy Cline, Feist, and Fiona Apple. The Jersey shore native, who named her most recent album after her hometown, "Neptune City," performs tonight at T.T. the Bear's with her band, the Sea. Also on the bill are Gregory and the Hawk and Salt & Samovar. 9:30 p.m. $12. T.T. the Bear's Place, 10 Brookline St., Cambridge, 617-492-2327. www.ttthebears.com
