A month of the same old holiday music can turn some folks into Scrooges, but the North Shore Music Theatre's A Festival of Music shakes things up a bit with holiday tunes from movies and musicals. Tonight's program from "Scrooged," "Home Alone," "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "Babes in Toyland," and more is performed by George Dvorsky (right), Maureen Brennan, the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra, and the North Shore Music Theatre Academy Performance Ensemble. Emcee Joyce Kulhawik keeps things humming along. Patrons are invited to donate a nonperishable food item. 7:30 p.m. (complimentary refreshments at 6:30 p.m.). $25. North Shore Music Theatre, 62 Dunham Road, Beverly. 978-232-7200. www.nsmt.org JUNE WULFF
