iPod shuffle
Matt Noyes, NECN meteorologist
Noyes can't live without his iPod. It accompanies him on his daily predawn drives from his Haverhill home to the station's Newton studios, where he has to be by 3 a.m. to prepare for the early-morning and midday newscasts. When he heads back home in the afternoon, he listens to his favorite country stars such as Kenny Chesney and romantic pop artists including Michael Buble.
"My iPod is a huge part of my life," said Noyes, 29, who also likes hip-hop artists such as rapper T-Pain. In fact, T-Pain's song "I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)" was once the ringtone that played when Noyes's wife called him. "Not that she's a stripper," Noyes clarifies. Naturally, Noyes likes songs with weather themes, but you won't find Barry Manilow's "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head." Here's what came up when we put his iPod on shuffle:
1. "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy," Kenny Chesney
2. "When the Levee Breaks," Led Zeppelin
3. "The Thunder Rolls" Garth Brooks
4. "Songs About Rain," Gary Allan
5. "The Four Seasons," Vivaldi
6. "Stand Up" Ludacris
7. "I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)" T-Pain
8. "Save the Last Dance for Me," Michael Buble
9. "The Best Is Yet to Come," Michael Buble
10. "Lean on Me," Michael Bolton
Embarrassed by: "I am perhaps somewhat red-faced to admit that I have Michael Bolton on my iPod," he said. ![]()
