After tonight's 7 p.m. pre-concert reception, Keith Lockhart will begin his 15th year as conductor of the Boston Pops when it opens its 124th season. "Opening Night at Pops" welcomes Broadway's Barbara Cook and her trio for a collection of classics including "It Might as Well Be Spring" and "This Nearly Was Mine." Opening night pays tribute to the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth with Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait." Tony Rymer, a 19-year-old cellist, will play the last movement of Haydn's Cello Concerto in C Major, and the Pops will play tunes from its new CD, "The Red Sox Album." 8 p.m. (repeats tomorrow ). $30-$119 ($20-$89 on Thursday).
