Phish will perform at Fenway Park on Sunday.

Ye olde ballyard is going to have a very different vibe this weekend as the jam-band hordes descend on Fenway Park for the Dave Matthews Band shows tonight and tomorrow and the Phish reunion concert on Sunday. Forget about the scent of peanuts and Cracker Jack. The definitive fragrances wafting over the outfield will more likely be patchouli and cannabis. (Regardless of the audience makeup, the latter is a definite: Willie Nelson is opening for Matthews.)
For Dave Matthews Band fans who can't make it into the shows, TV, satellite radio, and the Internet have got you covered. Starting tomorrow, cable music network Fuse kicks off a week of special programming dedicated to Matthews and gang. The menu includes a four-part documentary that chronicles the making of the group's new album, "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" (see review on Page 25), and a live broadcast of a June 1 show at the Beacon Theatre in New York. Online video site Hulu.com will offer a live stream, its first, of that same show.
Also on Monday, starting at noon and running until June 8, Sirius XM satellite radio will launch channels dedicated to DMB. The channels (Sirius 17, XM 56) will feature band members discussing new tracks and offer a different live recording at 9 each night.![]()
