ROCKPORT CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL The annual June festival continues today with an enticing program featuring the Borromeo String Quartet (above) and guest clarinetist Richard Stoltzman. On the bill will be Brahms's sublime Clarinet Quintet as well as works by Bach and Lera Auerbach. On Tuesday, the excellent St. Lawrence String Quartet pulls into town, with music by Haydn, Mendelssohn, and R. Murray Schafer. BOSTON EARLY MUSIC FESTIVAL The massive biennial festival, which draws early music pilgrims from around the country, continues this week with multiple concerts in Jordan Hall and throughout the city. The new production of Monteverdi's "Coronation of Poppea" continues its run at the Calderwood Pavilion (and picks up later at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington), and BEMF's double bill of chamber operas (John Blow's "Venus and Adonis" and Charpentier's "Acteon") first performed last fall returns on Saturday. Among the many visiting performers will be the Dutch cellist Pieter Wispelwey and the British ensemble Stile Antico, in its American debut. LYDIAN STRING QUARTET The stalwart local ensemble celebrates the 80th birthday of the Boston-based composer Yehudi Wyner, with works by Wyner in the company of a late-Beethoven masterpiece, the Quartet Op. 135.
