First gig at 3, first single at 5, national TV by 6. That’s a lot of pressure for someone who was still in the single digits. Child prodigy Lucky Peterson was born in Buffalo in 1963 and continues to master the blues on vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, and trumpet. Peterson’s latest release is “Lucky Peterson Organ Soul Sessions,’’ a three-disc CD starring the B3 organ, an instrument the bluesman calls “The Beast.’’ Aug. 13 at 8:30 p.m. $15. Johnny D’s, 17 Holland St., Davis Square, Somerville. 617-776-2004. www.johnnyds.com
