POP & ROCK
THE KILLERS In January, the Las Vegas rockers were both human and dancer as they lit up Agganis Arena with their glossy pop anthems and bizarrely feather-festooned costumes. They swing back around to the much larger Garden on the second leg of the tour for their third album, “Day & Age.’’ 7:30 p.m. Sept. 4. $25-$45. TD Garden. 800-745-3000. www.ticketmaster.com

PET SHOP BOYS Twenty-three years into their glossy and engrossing electro-pop career, the Boys are still creating pandemonium wherever they go. Or at least “Pandemonium,’’ which is the name of the duo’s current tour for its most recent album, “Yes.’’ 7 p.m. Sept. 5. $39.50-$49.50. House of Blues. 800-745-3000. www.ticketmaster.com

MOTORHEAD Odd news: According to the Motorhead website, former Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum will be filling in for Mikkey Dee since the heavy metal sticksman will be filming Sweden’s version of “I’m a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!’’ Rev. Horton Heat and Nashville Pussy will be revving things up for Lemmy and the rest of the gang. 7 p.m. Sept. 6. $29.50-$35. House of Blues. 800-745-3000. www.ticketmaster.com

And if you haven’t seen it yet, check him out as Chuck Berry in “Cadillac Records.’’ Mos Def B. Goode. 7 p.m. Sept. 8. $29.50-$39.50. House of Blues. 800-745-3000. www.ticketmaster.com

FOLK, WORLD & COUNTRY
TOOTS & THE MAYTALS Time has done little to slow down Jamaican reggae legend Toots Hibbert, who turns 64 this year. If anything, Toots & the Maytals’ popularity continues to swell beyond reggae’s boundaries, with crossover albums full of star-studded collaborations such as Willie Nelson and Keith Richards on 2004’s “True Love.’’ Tonight Toots will share the stage with Spiritual Rez and the Fear Nuttin Band. 8 p.m. Sept. 3. $26-$36. House of Blues. 800-745-3000. www.ticketmaster.com

THE EILEN JEWELL BAND Apparently, there’s no rest for the wicked. At least not for Cambridge-based Jewell, who’s back on the road (and bound for Europe) with her top-notch band that toggles seamlessly between old-time folk, brooding ’50s rock, and shuffling classic country on their latest album, “Sea of Tears.’’ 10 p.m. Sept. 5. Free. Precinct, 70 Union Square, Somerville. 617-623-9211. www.precinctbar.com

DENISON WITMER He’s gotten by with a little help from his friends (Sufjan Stevens, Rosie Thomas), but Witmer has always been a compelling voice in his own right. He’s on the road with Brooke Waggoner, a sprightly indie-pop chanteuse from Nashville whose songs sound like the upbeat flipside to Witmer’s sleepy-eyed folk ditties. 8 p.m. Sept. 9. $10. Cafe 939. 800-745-3000. www.ticketmaster.com JAMES REED

GUERRILLA OPERA We’ve had “Jerry Springer: The Opera’’ - now it’s Sarah Palin’s turn.
