Howard Jones is playing four shows at the intimate Scullers jazz club next Wednesday and Thursday, but don’t expect the pioneering electro-popster to scale it back or bust out the Coltrane. On the phone from England, the ’80s hitmaker jokes that his trio will be playing all of his famous tunes - like “No One Is to Blame’’ and “What Is Love?’’ - and songs from his forthcoming album “Ordinary Heroes’’ with the help of his “all purpose, all singing, all dancing synthesizer.’’ Two cohorts assist on Ableton and MIDI and vocals. “It’s a very techie kind of lineup, but the songs come belting through that.’’
