BOSTON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA Filling in for a recuperating James Levine, Julian Kuerti steps in on Tuesday and Thursday (Oct. 27 and 29) to lead Beethoven’s Symphonies Nos. 3 and 4, the second program in the BSO’s Beethoven cycle. Levine is scheduled to return to pick up the third and fourth programs of the cycle, with Symphonies Nos. 6 and 7 on Oct. 30 and 31, and Nos. 8 and 9 on Nov. 5, 6, and 7.
