Here’s a nice complement to the new MFA Egypt exhibit: The Handel and Haydn Society welcomes Mozart specialist Jane Glover (below), who will conduct the composer’s heroic drama, “Thamos, King of Egypt.’’ Cambridge-based fortepianist Robert Levin will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21. The program also includes Haydn’s Symphony No. 45 in F-sharp minor (“Farewell’’). Teresa Neff, a musicologist, will give a lecture one hour before each concert, and after them, Levin will participate in Q&As. 8 p.m. (Nov. 8 at 3 p.m.). $15-$72. Symphony Hall, 301 Mass. Ave., Boston. 617-266-3605. www.handelandhaydn.org
