He was battling a respiratory infection and had literally just finished a show, but that didn’t stop Train frontman Pat Monahan from phoning in from Minneapolis last week at 1 a.m. to share the contents of his iPod. The group behind pop radio anthems like “Drops of Jupiter’’ and “Calling All Angels’’ just released its fifth album, “Save Me, San Francisco,’’ and will roll into the Paradise on Monday with Uncle Kracker . He thinks his eclectic list says something about him that is probably pretty common. “I think it says that I’m just like everybody else, that there’s no category that you fall into, you just kind of like everything.’’

1. “Act of Contrition,’’ Madonna

2. “Icky Thump,’’ the White Stripes

3. Track 7, Isaac Hayes (He wasn’t sure what song it was.)

4. “Raise Your Hands,’’ Pat Monahan

5. “Thank You (Falettin Me Be Mice Elf Agin),’’ Sly & the Family Stone

6. “Shadow Captain,’’ Crosby, Stills, & Nash

7. “Hi Ho Silver Lining,’’ Jeff Beck

8. “Singin’ in the Rain,’’ Jamie Cullum

9. “Brick by Brick,’’ Train

10. “The Excited Southerner Gets Pulled Over,’’ Adam Sandler

Total songs: 1,200

Surprised we missed: “When I go on a writing session I always just throw it in my iPod, so I thought there would be way more ‘never made a record Pat songs.’ I guess I’m also surprised no Led Zeppelin came up, because I have a ton of it. I’m surprised more jazz didn’t come up, because I’m a huge fan of Miles Davis and Stan Getz.’’
