This vocalist has come a long way from her 1981 professional singing debut at a Holiday Inn in her hometown of Brainerd, Minn. In 1988, she got her big break when she auditioned for “Star Search’’ and won 12 consecutive weeks. Fast forward to “An Evening With Linda Eder’’ where the Broadway and recording star will celebrate her latest release, “Soundtrack,’’ a tribute to 50 years of cinema songs.
