NO TOMORROW First Saturdays at Machine, 1254 Boylston St. 10 p.m. 21+. Cover: $5 before 11 p.m., $10 after. 617-536-1950, www.machine-boston.com

The deal: Celebrating a different apocalyptic theme every month — from the Singularity to global warming to this month’s motif, World War III — No Tomorrow might be the most enjoyable way to slip helplessly into the void at the end of the world. The main room features darker shades of techno, electro, and house while the “2012 Lounge’’ leans experimental, with plenty of intense visuals. “We try to make it a completely immersive experience,’’ says DJ Mistaker.

The DJs: Resident DJ Mistaker and resident VJ Zebbler welcome different rising guests each month (Creep and Gatekeeper have made appearances at past installments). This time, DJ Static spins along with Mistaker in the main room, while BBP, Melee, Pressplay, and Vermin Street’s $0 $0 Gutter hold down the Lounge.

Who goes there? “We get techno fans and an industrial crowd,’’ says Mistaker. “But there’s also a gay club [Ramrod] right upstairs, and drag shows that take place here just before. So it’s really a big mix of people who just want to go out, be themselves, and have fun.’’

The drink: “We had a suicide-cult-themed party once where everyone wore white, and we served No Tomorrow Kool-Aid,’’ says Mistaker. “But we might not have it this month.’’

The dress: “I’d just say ‘get outrageous,’ ’’ Mistaker suggests. “A lot of people come in costume for no reason. We had a guy show up in a Viking hat last month.’’
