For many a record geek, “SMiLE’’ - the album that the Beach Boys abandoned 44 years ago - is The Holy Grail of bootlegs, the most famous unreleased record ever. On Tuesday, “SMiLE’’ goes legit. And there’s enough excitement surrounding “The SMiLE Sessions’’ that EMI/Capitol has created multiple versions of the set, from a $22, two-CD collection to a $5,999 box complete with a custom surf board. Geoff Edgers talks to Brian Wilson and others involved in the release.
