Singer-songwriter Mike Doughty has an insidiously earwormy latest album “Yes and Also Yes’’ and also an engrossing upcoming “The Book of Drugs,’’ due out Feb. 1. The candid book chronicles everything from his odd-man-out childhood growing up an artsy type at West Point to his maddeningly combative relationship with his bandmates in the ‘90s alt-rock group Soul Coughing to his substance abuse. We recently chatted with a now sober Doughty, who plays the Paradise on Tuesday.
