Farewell, Sleater-Kinney

Music fans are in mourning for the beloved alt-rock trio Sleater-Kinney, which has announced that it is going on indefinite hiatus. The band, which formed in the Pacific Northwest eleven years ago, will play a handful of scheduled shows this summer and make their final appearance Aug. 4 at Lollapalooza in Chicago. Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker, and Janet Weiss have posted heartfelt words of gratitude to the fans on their website.
