As the Microphone Turns

Anyone holding tickets for the Journey/Def Leppard double bill at the Tweeter Center on September 23 should know that Journey might be performing with a different singer. Seems Steve Perry replacement Steve Augeri has come down with a chronic throat infection that requires "total voice rest."

Apparently unable to find a suitable replacement named Steve "last-name-rhymes-with-cherry" the Bay Area rockers have settled on Jeff Scott Soto (third from left above), who has worked with Journey guitarist Neal Schon in the past. This is expected to be a temporary replacement but fans can check the band's website for updates. They are also advised to not stop believin'.
