Today's obit pages have a piece on country singer Johnny Duncan, who died recently, at age 67. I have a few Duncan tracks circulating on my iPod, although I knew little about the singer himself. More information is here.

In other news, it appears the Lily Pad will be hosting shows again, at least until a meeting with Cambridge's zoning board in September. According to Rachel Koppelman, who is handling the Pad's press, the venue will be "able to purchase entertainment licenses each week that are valid for the whole week, so we are more or less operating as we
were before all the drama."

In the meantime, you can make donations through a PayPal account set up by the Pad, here.
