That's Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, R.E.M., the Ronettes, Patti Smith and Van Halen, original flavor.
All terrific artists with great batting averages. I can't wait to hear the all-star jam finale. The potential for David Lee Roth spoilage is legion. Should be a hoot, especially if he and Stipe get to share a microphone.
The induction ceremony takes place March 12 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York and the edited version usually appears on VH1 the following Sunday. Performers and inductors have yet to be announced but expect inductee Stipe to vie with Bono to honor Smith.
