If you're a serious John Mellencamp fan and a Sirius subscriber you can get an early listen to the American fool's new album "Freedom Road" a week early.

The satellite radio network will be playing the album in its entirety on Jan. 17 at 7 pm on the Spectrum (ch. 18). Host Meg Griffin will also interview the Hoosier about the tracks--cut with his touring band, the country group Little Big Town and, on one song folk legend Joan Baez-- and his lengthy career.

"Freedom Road"--including the ubiquitous car ad jingle "Our Country"-- will be available in stores and digitally on Jan. 23. Mellencamp is expected to tour later this year so stay tuned for details.
