From Divorce Court to the Silver Screen

R&B singer Jill Scott, who recently announced that she's divorcing her husband of five years, has been cast in director Anthony Minghella's film adaptation of Alexander McCall Smith's novel, "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Club." Scott will play Precious Ramotswe, owner of the Botswana-based detective agency run by women. "Dreamgirls" actress Anika Noni Rose and Lucian Msamati will also appear in the film.
