Causing a Commotion

Madonna may have a new album coming out this spring and a 25-year catalog of hits to choose from but she's decided to sit out the performance portion of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Monday at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York.
Instead, fellow Michiganders Iggy Pop and the Stooges-- who are, inexplicably, not in the Hall-- will pay tribute to Her Madgesty with a performance of two of her songs. What do you think the over-under is on the veiniest man in rock 'n' roll donning a wedding dress and writhing around while singing "Like a Virgin"?
Justin Timberlake will handle the speechifying portion of Madonna's induction. (JT and partner Timbaland are behind the boards on several tracks of the new Madonna album and are responsible for the zippy "4 Minutes to Save the World," the song currently making the leak rounds on the Web. It's pretty hot but feels more like a Timbaland production than a Madonna song.)
In other rock hall news, here are the other inductee/inductor match-ups for Monday night:
Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed
John Mellencamp, Billy Joel
The Dave Clark Five, Tom Hanks
The Ventures, John Fogerty
Legendary Philly soul producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, Jerry Butler (Patti Labelle will perform for them)
Little Walter, Ben Harper
VH1 Classic will air the induction ceremony Monday at 8:30 p.m.
