She's so heavy. She's so sweet. Boston's Juliana Hatfield swings both ways, and fans of Hatfield the ace pop tunesmith will want to make a big fat black circle around Aug. 19 on their calenders. Sound Effects is listening as we speak to Hatfield's forthcoming album, "How to Walk Away," a collection of lush, evocative pop songs produced by Ivy's Andy Chase and featuring guest turns from Richard Butler of the Psychedelic Furs and Matthew Caws from Nada Surf. You can check out one of the new tracks, "Shining On," at Hatfield's MySpace page. It will make you feel all happy and sad, the way a song should. Hatfield will put the album out on her own Ye Olde Records.
