Shows- like the Dropkick Murphys' St. Pat's residency- have been popping up on various concert and ticket websites for awhile, but Live Nation has finally officially announced that the House of Blues on Lansdowne St. will open in February.

The 2400-plus capacity club/restaurant replaces Avalon/Axis across from the Green Monster and is a cross-river upgrade on the original 200-capacity Harvard Square venue.

Tickets go on sale Sat. Dec. 20 at noon for a limited number of shows including:

-Gipsy Kings, Feb. 20

-BB King & Buddy Guy, Feb. 22

-Jimmy Eat World, Feb. 26

-The Disco Biscuits, Feb. 28

-Flogging Molly, Mar. 10

-Dropkick Murphys, Mar. 13-17 (Note: These tickets go on sale at 10 a.m.)

-the Pogues, Mar. 21

-Cut Copy, Mar. 22

-John Brown's Body, Apr. 25

Additional show and ticket information is available at the sites for the House of Blues, Live Nation, and Ticketmaster.
