Sugarland plus Adele, Kinda

Posted by Sarah Rodman February 8, 2009 10:09 PM

Sugarland is becoming the go-to awards show team-up artists. (The duo did a great take on "Irreplaceable" with Beyonce on the 2007 American Music Awards). But after the Jay Mohr/LL Cool J tease I thought it would be more of a mash-up. One chorus does not a duet make. It was really just Sugarland playing their song and Adele singing hers with a brief, albeit lovely, assist from Jennifer Nettles. But since they both sounded great, I'm not complaining.
