The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its nominees for induction in 2010, and man, if they're not making Sound Effects feel old today. Artists from our generation are finally becoming eligible for induction. Per the Hall's guidelines, an act must have released its first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

As usual, this year's list of nominees runs the gamut of genres and generations, including:

ABBA
The Chantels
Jimmy Cliff
Genesis
The Hollies
KISS
LL Cool J
Darlene Love
Laura Nyro
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Stooges
Donna Summer

Five nominees will be inducted next year on March 15 in New York. If we were betting folks, here's how we would call it...

Sarah's picks:
LL Cool J
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Genesis
KISS
The Stooges
(but she secretly wants Donna Summer to make the cut)

James's picks:
Laura Nyro
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Hollies
LL Cool J
The Stooges
(but he secretly wants the Chantels to make the cut)
