Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents performing at the Liberty Hotel last year.

If sudden tremors woke you from sleep around midnight last night, you're either a late eater (which is not very good for you) or you're particularly attuned to the Boston rock scene. The first rumblings of the renewed Rumble were sent tumbling through the city last night from T.T. the Bear's, carrying news of Jenny Dee & the Deelinquents Rumble-launching victory. And in case it's not already perma-lodged in your head, here's a reminder of why JD may have taken it:

Kudos go out to our own Jonathan Perry for totally calling this one, but this was no easy victory. Dee & Co. beat out the fiery throwback pop chops of The Blizzard of '78, the pleasant dirt-road alt-country of Old Jack, and the feisty classic-rock updates of McAlister Drive.

Tijuana Sweetheart, 9:45 tonight

Night Two promises be a doozy as Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys (a/k/a The Most Populous Band In All of Crazydom, 11:15 p.m.) face-off against the epic sweep of A Wish For Fire (10:30 p.m.), the raw all-girl rock force of Tijuana Sweetheart
(9:45 p.m), and the churning, progressively-nostalgic indie-rock of Full Body Anchor (9 p.m.), all of whom you can sample below.
