In this new Cults video, the '60s-loving indie-rock duo of Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion are clear that love is not all fun and games. You just never know when the guy you love is going to kidnap you and toss you into the trunk of his car. (Fun fact: In an interview for a feature on the band in tomorrow's Globe, Oblivion told me that he and Follin were adamant that they wanted to use actors with interesting faces. Mission: accomplished.)
"Abducted" comes from Cults' new self-titled debut, which was released earlier this week to considerable buzz and glowing reviews. Now on the road as a five-piece, the band headlines Brighton Music Hall on Sunday; I'm going to bet that it will be the last time you can see them in such an intimate venue. Get your tickets in advance.
