First we take Manhattan. Twin Shadow, the stage name of former local George Lewis Jr. will premiere a new music video on a jumbo screen in New York's Times Square on June 18, followed by a live performance, according to Pitchfork.
The event is part of Artists Wanted's Art Takes Times Square initiative. Twin Shadow's peppy single, "Five Seconds," is a cut from the upcoming sophomore release "Confess," due out July 10. Take a listen below:
Lewis Jr. has come a long way since living and playing around Boston in Mad Man Films in the early 2000s. Since moving to Brooklyn in 2006 and releasing Twin Shadow's debut album "Forget" in 2010, he's played major festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo and toured with Florence and the Machine. Twin Shadow plays the Paradise Rock Club on July 27.
