Locally bred group Passion Pit has put out a new single "I'll Be Alright" as fans count down to the July 24 release of their sophomore effort, "Gossamer."

Jeff Apruzzese, Nate Donmoyer, Michael Angelakos and Ian Hultquist of Passion Pit attend the 16th annual Webby Awards at Hammerstein Ballroom on May 21, 2012 in New York City.

The track is reminiscent of some of the "Manners" work, featuring a bit of the screwy, manipulated vocals that chirp through hits like "Sleepyhead." "I'll Be Alright" is a bit bigger, though, with a chorus powered by rapid fire drums and fat synth chords.
