About Author

Jonathan Donaldson is a Boston-based musician, writer, and second-generation music junkie. An Ohio native who moved to Boston in 1998, Jonathan's musical loves include R&B, psych, punk, bubblegum, country, electronic, vocal music, international folk, and pop music. His first writings appeared in print in 2002 in Dagger, Pop Culture Press, and Scram, where he wrote about some of his all-time favorite musical acts, ranging from the Modern Lovers and Squeeze, to Jimmy Webb and the High Llamas. He also published essays on Pentangle, Fugu, and the Nourallah Brothers in Scram's book, "Lost in the Grooves," about obscure records. Jonathan has been a regular contributor to local publications, including the Boston Phoenix (2010-present) and the Weekly Dig (2008-2010). As a musician, Jonathan collaborates with Ohio-based songwriter James Goodman in the Nimbleines, as well as local outfits I Want You and Cult of Point Break Society. Jonathan can be reached at inboundsounds@gmail.com.
