As haunting as it was, the music was sometimes overshadowed on Jónsi’s latest tour. Taking a break from his band, the Sigur Rós frontman was on the road earlier this year behind his solo debut, “Go.’’ The album was so cinematic, Jónsi enlisted a company to design a hulking set that was as euphoric as the songs. Massive screens projected visual poetry, from sepia-toned sketches of animals slowly catching fire to swirling snowstorms that enveloped the stage. “Go Live’’ is a stunning document of that tour, and the best of both worlds: a CD of the songs, plus a DVD of concert footage and a 16-page photo book. The digital and physical editions available exclusively through www.jonsi.com capture Jónsi at the height of his interpretive powers, from the grand crescendo of “Tornado’’ to the show’s crashing climax, the 10-minute epic “Grow Till Tall.’’ At nearly 75 minutes, the concert film is an especially evocative representation of the music, featuring interviews with Jónsi and bandmates. If you missed them on tour, including two triumphant nights at Boston’s House of Blues in May, “Go Live’’ is required listening — and viewing. (Out now) JAMES REED
