‘Lincoln Way Nights: Intelligent Trunk Music’
From the start of “Lincoln Way Nights’’ it feels like Stalley locks you into his muscle car and doesn’t let you out until you’ve seen every inch of Massillon, Ohio. Stalley, a college hooper turned rapper, is more like a curator, not terribly concerned with wordplay, focusing more on storytelling over the muffled, subdued and somehow still booming beats by the project’s sole producer Rashad (whose sound is artfully sparse).
