Mac Miller
‘Blue Slide Park’
Mac Miller is too young to be this nostalgic. The 19 year-old rapper’s debut album, its title a reference to the local park where he spent much of his still-familiar youth in suburban Pittsburgh, feels like a long high school yearbook message to himself; it’s “never forget all the good times we had,’’ set to a hip-hop beat. Still, he proves himself a surprisingly technical rapper with a dexterous flow and occasional flashes of wit.
