After headlining the Mayhem Festival this summer, Chicago metal band Distrubed created more mayhem by declaring they’re going on ”indefinite hiatus.’’ They’re clearly in cleansing mode at the moment, mining their archives for this B-side compilation-cum-holding pattern album. It’s mostly for fans only, because there’s not enough originality in these tracks to lure many new listeners. A few songs sound like rewrites of their early hit ”Down With the Sickness,’’ and a few others are riffs in search of ideas.
